# Which airdrop is for you?
Airdrops are not free money falling from the sky. Usually it's a give-get game, when the community is rewarded for helping a project grow. Let's see how to give value.

### If you have more than 1 ETH
Earn by staking, lending, donating, bridging your assets to a layer 2 protocol, or delegating voting power.

Instead of holding small coins for 30%+ staking rewards, I recommend you to hold your capital in a token you actually want to have. Don't underestimate the stable 3% yield on ETH or the power of Bitcoin. If you're not a professional trader, you'll 95% lose on memecoins.

### If you're famous
If you have a lot of followers or subscribers, it will be easy to find delegates. If people delegate their tokens to you then you just need to participate in DAO governance. Most protocols have governance rewards.

### If you're a developer
If you can code, you can get airdrops for contributing in open source projects. To increase the chance to earn, I highly recommend participating in hackathons and grants (eg. [Gitcoin](https://grants-portal.gitcoin.co/gitcoin-grants-grantee-portal), [Rootstock](https://rootstock.io/grants/). Look for smaller, less known projects so you have less competition. Gitcoin is also a great place to find funding for your project.
